Cambrian Village Trust (CVT) collects the information requested in this form to support delivery of the Stepping Stones Project, funded through the National Lottery Community Fund. Your details help us ensure that activities are accessible, inclusive and appropriately designed to meet the needs of participants. Information provided will also be used for monitoring and evaluation purposes required by our funders and to evidence the project’s outcomes.

Cambrian Community Gym

As part of the Stepping Stones project, our on-site community gym is open every Monday morning on a first-come, first-served booking basis.

These weekly sessions give local residents a welcoming space to build confidence, improve physical and mental wellbeing, and take positive steps toward a healthier lifestyle. The gym offers a supportive, inclusive environment where individuals can work towards their personal fitness goals, develop healthier routines, and connect with others in the community.

Campfire Cooking

Cambrian Village Trust proposes to run a new weekly community activity: Campfire Cooking, held every Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This hands-on, social cooking session will focus on creative, sustainable cooking using leftovers and what’s already in the fridge, encouraging participants to make “a meal from nothing” while building community connections and practical life skills.

Community Dance

Dance Fitness: Dance for Every BODY aims to promote physical health, mental well-being, and social connection through fun, inclusive, and accessible dance fitness sessions.

Open to all abilities, body types, genders and experience levels, the program empowers individuals aged 16 and over to enjoy moving their bodies in a welcoming, judgment-free environment.

Little Ducklings

Little Ducklings is our free stay-and-play group for families with children aged 0–4, running every Monday and Friday as part of the Stepping Stones project.

These sessions provide a safe, nurturing space for little ones to explore, play, and build early social skills, while giving parents and carers the chance to connect, share experiences, and feel supported.

Where: M&P 3G Alt Ed Buildings

When: Monday and Fridays 10:00 – 12:00

Forkers Gardening Group

The Tuesday Gardening Group is a practical, community-focused session where participants help care for the sensory garden and maintain the Trust’s outdoor spaces.

This includes planting new flowers, tidying beds, and supporting wider grounds maintenance across the site.

As part of the Stepping Stones project, the group provides purposeful weekly activity that supports wellbeing, builds confidence, and encourages connection through shared outdoor work. It plays an important role in keeping the environment welcoming and enjoyable for everyone who uses the Trust.

When: Tuesdays 14:00 – 16:00

Walking Rugby

Walking Rugby is an adapted, low-impact version of the sport that focuses on fun, teamwork, and staying active. Sessions are designed to be inclusive and accessible, with no running, minimal contact, and an emphasis on gentle movement and skill-building.

Walking Football offers a gentler, more accessible way to enjoy the game while supporting physical and mental wellbeing. The slowed-down pace and no-running rule make it suitable for a wide range of abilities, allowing participants to take part safely while still enjoying the tactics, teamwork, and enjoyment of football.

The session creates a friendly, social atmosphere where people can stay active, connect with others, and benefit from the boost that regular movement brings—all without the pressure of faster-paced sport.

Spill the Tea

Spill the T(ea) is a recurring LGBTQ+ social meet-up designed to bring more visibility, connection, and queerness to the Valleys. The goal is to provide a relaxed, friendly, and inclusive space where LGBTQ+ individuals can gather, share experiences, and form meaningful community ties.

This initiative aims to create a consistent and welcoming presence in the local area where attendees can feel safe to be themselves, meet new people, and discuss ideas for future queer-led activities or events.

Wild and Unwind is a nature-based wellbeing session where children can take part in bushcraft activities, while parents have space to relax, enjoy a cuppa, get some work done, or take a walk around the lake.

Wednesday Walking for Wellbeing

Our Wednesday Walking Group focuses on wellbeing, connection, and enjoying the outdoors over gentle to moderate hikes.

Sessions prioritise inclusivity, allowing participants of all abilities to take part, and every 6–8 weeks we organise offsite walks to explore new routes and scenery. The group offers a supportive space to stay active, boost mental wellbeing, and meet others in the community.

Nightingale Nursery

Our aim is to offer song and rhyme time sessions that encourage and promote parental engagement in children’s learning and development.
